11th November - Colonial Sucre - traffic central! / by David Harrison

From the Silver Mountain to Colonial Sucre - Bolivia's Capital City! And another lovely Colonial Hotel!!

Visited the Casa de la Libertad where Bolivia's declaration of independence was signed on 6th August 1825.  They have the original signed declaration - and lots of other history here. Discovered the 20,000 African slaves put to work in Potosi were brought to Bolivia on British ships!

Sucre has a beautiful Old Town - full of Colonial architecture - sadly also full of buses, lorries, cars and motorbikes - some kind of 24 hour Death Race 2000 competition during our two day sojourn - or so it seemed!!
